ASHTANGA YOGA is an ancient system of yoga taught by Vamana Rishi in the Yoga Korunta.

Ashtanga Yoga is an ancient system of yoga taught by Vamana Rishi in the Yoga Korunta. This teaching was transmitted to Sri. T. Krishnamacharya by his Guru Mohan Brahmachari. Sri. T. Krishnamacharya found a beaten-up copy of this text in the Calcutta library.
The Yoga Korunta illustrates the entire primary, intermediate and advanced series. It also describes thevinyasa, bandas and dhristis. Sri.T.Krishnamacharya transmitted this knowledge Sri. K. PattabhiJois (1915-2009), who taught in his home in Mysore for 65 years.Sri. K. PattabhiJois shared this knowledge of Ashtanga Yoga internationally.
Currently, his grandson SharathJois and his mother, the daughter of PattabhiJois, SaraswatiRangaswamy, teach in the Sri. K. PattabhiJois Ashtanga Yoga Institute.

Beginner´s Course: You have two options to learn the basics.
Beginner’s course:The beginner’s course consists of two Mysore-style classes during the week within thirty days after your first class.
The weekend beginner’s course: consists of a 1.5 hour class on a Saturday and another 1.5 hour class on a Sunday in which we learn the bases and method of Ashtanga Yoga.
